Eg Ertäb El̄ (/erˈtəb/ /ell/ [boring] [lobster]) is a subtropical Large Town located in the Ekÿckyewl̄ärt Provence of the Kingdom of Hobben.

The name Eg Ertäb El̄ is derived from the Dwarven language, as Eg Ertäb El̄ was founded by Êrî Zehndtubckexu, who was culturaly Dwarvern.

Climate

Eg Ertäb El̄ has a yearly average temperature of 27°C (80°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 32°C (89°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 22°C (71°F). Overview

Eg Ertäb El̄ was founded durring the early 11th century, by Êrî Zehndtubckexu. The establishment of Eg Ertäb El̄ was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Êrî Zehndtubckexu struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Eg Ertäb El̄ as a prison colony.

Eg Ertäb El̄ was built using the conventions of Dwarvern durring the early 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Eg Ertäb El̄ is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Eg Ertäb El̄ is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of restrictive split-log ties streets which form hexical paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town is the proud owner of a thick set of fortified walls fashioned from querried stone blocks. While not up to snuff for a fort or castle wall, the town's walls are naturaly much larger than those of forts or castles. Therefore, the construction such a wall is most expencive. Eg Ertäb El̄'s buget focused wall would serve its community well in battle in spite of looking unimpressive compared to castles and fortresses. Eg Ertäb El̄'s top tier civilian fortifications has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

Even the most brief look arround Eg Ertäb El̄ has a good chance of putting a church or shrine into the center of your view. The town is most certainly a god fearing community. It’s also definitely a god loving community. THe streetcornors are occupied by preachers, with the occasional intersection playing host to an actually friendly debate relating to the merits of various gods. Even the less popular as well as the less politically loved gods seem to have a space in Eg Ertäb El̄, there’s even shrines to gods known to the region only through hearsay.

Cultural Notes

Eg Ertäb El̄'s mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by vertical proportions, pointed arches, external buttressing, and asymmetry in the general shape of its buildings. The decorative features of the style were key, consisting of large arched windows, pointed arches, vaulted ceilings, flying buttresses, and sculptures integrated into the structure itself. Occasionally, for very important buildings, an array of sculptures or one colossal sculpture might replace the entirety of the entrance to said building.
